This map and index below, based on the 1958 City Directory of East Liverpool, were prepared for the Class of 1961 reunion, held at the All Class Reunion of 2004.
For some, this will bring back many memories; for others, no memories --but an amazing look at the variety of businesses this small city supported during the fabulous fifties. As well, it also offers a look at the riverfront area before Route 11 was built--it was quite a different area as will be seen in articles planned for the future (this writing is in July, '07).
The numbers on the index, i.e., "1," "2," "3," etc., are keys on the printed map which was 36" high. Unfortunately, we can't present a map large enough for the numbers to be readable on the map. If there is interest, perhaps we can break the map into pieces at some future date that will allow the numbers on the map to be read online.
One bit of help: On the yellow streets (running west to east, the even numbers are on the south (river)side of the street. On the orange streets (running south to north,) the even numbers are on the east side of the street.
